The Fire is my first Kindle (although I've had the Kindle app on my smartphones since 2009). While we're on the subject - I'd like to get an e-ink Kindle for outdoor reading this summer (I like to tan, and forget about the Fire in direct sun).

Is the $79 version adequate? Is the $99 Touch that much more convenient?
