Cross-posting, as this might be of interest to many folks here.
While I head mention that the native Windows version of Xournal did not print annotations (the Linux version does, Linux version with Cygwin untested), Mono just reported that (guessing
he did manage with the free PDFXChange viewer in Windows (my version using Wine did not, when I tried it :P ).
So there's salvation even for Windows users
