Finished: The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold. This is the first of a trilogy, and I really enjoyed it. Interesting characters, interesting premise, and, of course, well plotted. (I was up until WAY too late last night finishing it!) Definitely recommended.
I think I'm going to jump straight into the second, Paladin of Souls
