I don't remember this (I don't doubt it, I just don't
remember it). Would that be the very first US-only model that had the issues... before the Int'l version was released? I
do remember an increase in returns with the release of the Intn'l version. But again, that could be simply because there were many more being
sold by that point. I agree Amazon will bend over backwards to make sure you have a working Kindle in your hands, though.
