Sounds like a nice way to promote education, ebooks and ereaders, but I'm annoyed by the fact that they call themselves "the world’s largest bookseller" when they refuse to sell world-wide:
Quote:
Barnes & Noble, Inc., the world’s largest bookseller, will celebrate Spring Educator Appreciation Week April 14 -- April 22. All Barnes & Noble stores and Barnes & Noble.com ( www.bn.com ) will offer special discounts and promotions for pre K-grade 12 educators and administrators, including special offers on Barnes & Noble’s award-winning line of NOOK devices. Stores across the country will also host special events, workshops and award ceremonies for our annual My Favorite Teacher Contest.
Educators who shop at Barnes & Noble during Educator Appreciation Week will receive 20% off NOOK Tablet -- 16GB™, NOOK Color™ and NOOK Simple Touch™ and 15% off NOOK Tablet -- 8GB™, along with a 25% discount on personal and classroom purchases, and a 10% discount on DVDs and music. In addition, educators will have a chance to win a $500 Barnes & Noble gift card, a NOOK Tablet, a Pimsleur Unlimited Language system, and other prizes, giveaways, delicious treats and beverages through local and regional raffles and contests. Educators must present a valid Barnes & Noble Educators Discount Card to receive the discounts.
