does kindle 3 delete tmp-files after crash?

Hallo,

when trying to download a mobi-file using the experimental browser my kindle 3 (3G) crashed, so I had to reboot him. After connecting him to my pc using usb I realized that in the documents folder there were a lot of temporary files which may be produced during the failed download. I deleted them manually. So now I have the question, whether the kindle is able to delete such "crash-files" himself, especially in the hidden directories of the system, in which I cannot delete them manually.
