ARGH! I wish I had found this discussion before wasting hours trying to solve this last night and then today in a chat with Kindle Support. Thankfully I declined their request to Factory Reset and then tried the "Uninstall Updates" as a last ditch effort. I didn't even notice that it had been included in the updates I downloaded last night. My Fire *is* rooted so I wonder if it was a non-Fire version of the app that got installed. Anyone know how I can prevent that from happening in the future (short of noticing and not clicking the update/download button)?
