Sci-fi? I wouldn't categorize it as sci-fi any more than I'd categorize it fantasy. Horror? It wasn't particularly scary though. There's certainly no nano technology, robots, or any other sci-fi memes.

World War Z is written as survivors' accounts of the zombie apocalypse.
