In the late '60's and all through '70's I was listening to folk and blues. Punk and heavy metal was just background noise to me. I paid no attention at all. I really only learned about the Greatful Dead, Stones, etc., LONG after they came into being. In fact, although I started playing guitar at age 11, I refused to even
touch an electric guitar until I was in my late 30's. I never owned my own electric until I was in my late 40's and wanted to broaden my playing skills.
