Delay in processing payment/receipt for Kobo book purchase

This morning when I checked my email I found an order receipt from Kobo thanking me for my purchase. I was immediately suspicous because it's a few weeks since I bought a book from Kobo.
After checking I'm a bit confused because I did purchase the book on the 26th February and downloaded it to ADE immediately. Both ADE and Calibre show the book dated the 26th Feb and I know it happened then because it was a birthday present for my husband and I loaded it onto his iPad on the evening of the 27th Feb. He has already read the book.
So then I checked my credit card and saw that the other 2 books that I purchased at the same time (but in different transactions of course!) were there but the charge for the third book was missing.

I'm not disputing the charge at all and I am happy to pay because I did buy the book but I'm wondering why has it taken almost a month for Kobo to send me the receipt and presumably charge my credit card? As of a few minutes ago there is still no charge on my card but I expect it to appear tomorrow.

Has anyone else had this happen?
