Bought one of these for my wife who was having sleeping problems so we thought to try an e-ink device rather than her (much more powerful, polished and flexible) backlit Nook Color with CM7.

We are also seeing the KT 1.9.17 rebooting the device after using teh browser to access the calibre content server. I actually find the browser very susceptible to rebooting the device on many web pages.

If you just browse to http://<calibre-server>:8080 you will get the mobile version. If you want to see the full blown server with all the book info, rating etc. browse to http://<calibre-server>:8080/browse

Does the kobo app support OPDS catalogs (http://<calibre-server>:8080/opds) from inside the app? It'd be really nice to download books directly from the OPDS catalogs without having to use the flaky browser. This is becoming a pretty common feature in many ebook reading applications so it would be nice for Kobo to keep up with the competition here.

In the meantime, she's back to plugging the KT in to her laptop and using calibre to transfer books rather than doing it wirelessly like she's used to with her Nook Color.
