O.K.... We watched episode 1 last night...
Lots of gratuitous violence and nudity. I like that. The plot seems like it could develop into something. We both enjoyed an hour of it and decided that we will watch the next episode this weekend and see if it's something that we will follow. I've decided to give the book another try. If the sex is as good in the book as it was in the first episode, I might really like it after all!
But I can't believe that they showed this on US Television! They must have censored out half the show. The US does not have the most open-minded censors. On the other hand, I imagine that the show could well have been sponsored by Pfizer Inc. pharmaceuticals, and made their stock go up 20 points!
