You may simply have gotten the newest firmware update while you were online. The KT has been gradually getting "better" with new updates
Check your firmware version -- on the settings page, use Menu > Device Info (or so). If it's 5.0.4, then you have the newest version which has been released roughly 3 weeks ago, so it would indeed be the update which fixed things. Otherwise, I suggest to
manually install it anyway.
