Hi All,

My name is Neal. I am a small publisher of bilingual books relating to Indian religion, philosophy, and literature. Until now I have mostly produced print books, but for the last few months I have been trying to find ways of converting the books I have produced and the ones I am currently producing into ebooks without starting from scratch and with certain hopes for the way the final ebook look. Anyway, I am here because Sigil looks promising and I need some guidance from other users on how to best achieve my goals.

My press' name is Blazing Sapphire Press. I also have dba presses that publish non-Indic related works. Those are: Golden Antelope Press (creative), Naciketas Press (scholarly general works), and soon a press called Rasaraja (King of Flavors) for cookbooks.

All the tools I use are free. I use LaTeX for my Indic works and Scribus for the rest. I can't really afford to buy expensive programs and don't want to really. Mine is a shoestring operation. There is so much good free software out there. It just takes some work to learn how to use it sometimes.

My main goals in the forum are learning how to use Sigil so that I can convert my LaTeX books into epub books (or some format like that) and have footnotes that work and, dare I wish, the scripts of the original languages that I work with (Devanagari and Bengali) embedded in the books, too.
