You're not alone cyvros. I'm definitely having fewer issues with the new firmware but by the sounds of it we are the minority. And if you're like me and don't mind the carousel (which I keep as shortlist and use for my TBR list), you're in an even smaller minority by the sounds of things. I don't even mind this google analytics spectre. I lead an incredibly boring life and whoever in the end is seeing my browsing/reading/shopping data from my online activities is surely weeping in a corner somewhere when they realize a person can be so dull. Kobo is in the book selling business. I'd be shocked if I went to their site and there weren't "Try this book" or "Recommended for you" advertising. It'd be like going into a store and not seeing product displays. The fact that my past shopping history is used to determine what's relevant to me (although some of the recommended reads I receive are hilarious) is in my opinion less annoying than blanket advertising. Just my two cents.
