I am running Calibre to create a database of my ebooks. I can easily search and copy the books to my ereader.
I have other people in my house with ereaders and I want to give them access to this database as well. I did install calibre on their laptops and they can search and copy books to their ereaders.
What I do not like is that the directory and database should have write access. And I do not want the others to modify my ebook database.

Is there a way to configure Calibre as a viewer, that they can only search the database and copy the books to the ereaders ?
