Has anyone made any other purchases from AmazonLocal?

This is my first purchase from them. Their ads now dominate the ads on Special Offer Kindles and I tend to see them as spam. For the most part, these local offers don't appeal to me in the least. Some of the dining offers look good, but I don't dine out.

I see this gift card offer as a one off in an attempt to advertise the existence of AmazonLocal (launched Jun 2011) and to bring in more customers. But it won't work on me. I'll take the offer and still ignore the rest of them.
