Stop being so damn spoiled, people. If it were up to me, I'd make everybody fit their carry on in a shoe box, with exception for babies and medical needs. Boarding and deboarding would take 5 mins.

If dangerous flying things was the reason they wouldn't allow books or coffee cups (purchased after security of course) or ...

I get just as distracted reading a paper book as I do reading my Kindle and I would like being hit by a cup of nearly boiling coffee even less than a Kindle.
