I must admit, I'm not impressed.
I reported a simple (but very annoying) bug in one of these forum threads (because kobo doesn't have a proper bug tracker). It is still not fixed.
Letters with accents or other diacritics are part of the word they're in. When I long press a word containing these characters, I want to select the whole word, not the first few letters until it bumps into an accented character. While we're on the subject, commas, full stops, etc. are not part of words. Don't select them along with the word they follow. (The dictionary seems to be ok at ignoring trailing punctuation when looking up words, but that's no reason not to do things properly from the start)

How about a proper bugtracker? People report bugs, they get a response, they know you've seen the bug report and will work on fixing it.
So, the bug I hoped to see fixed is still there, what
did we get?
- Many people complained about recommendations cluttering up the home page, wasting space on disk and appearing in library searches. They are still there.

- A couple of fixes. Great! None of the issues fixed affected me, but generally this is good, except that from somewhere we now have...
- A new bug! Now the top margin is too small, with no setting to change it.

- The browser seems to have been broken. Now it comes up with some nonsense about appearing to be connecting to a public wifi hotspot, then tries to load a "Hotspot web login" page, which never loads, presumably because my home wifi connection is not a public hotspot. It's gained a 'cancel' button, but to be honest, I preferred it when it could actually connect to the network and load web pages.

- Some share with facebook nonsense. Really? For most sane people, this is something to ignore. For the rest, it is at best a gimmick. Please concentrate on perfecting the kobo's functionality as an ereader before you start branching out into being a spambot.

I apologise for the length and tone of this message, but it really does beggar belief. I'm quite happy to be patient while you fix bugs, because I know these things take time. However, when every update adds unwanted garbage and breaks as many features as it fixes, it starts to get annoying.
