Or they very carefully convinced you that they had a way of identifying the number of devices
. But I'm with the for cripes sake live without your device for 15 minutes on either end of the flight crowd (with the full disclosure that I don't fly a lot). I can't imagine there would be any viable way of testing all devices (let alone combinations of devices which could suppress or enhance interference).
