The all time funniest book I ever read was Bridge in the Menagerie by Victor Mollo. He also wrote several others. Probably only understandable and really funny if you actually know how to play bridge, but if you do, it's laugh out loud funny as you follow the adventures of the Hideous Hog, the Rueful Rabbit, the Walrus, the Secretary Bird, and, of course, the chief kibbitzer Oscar the Owl. A quote from Oscar: "Curious Hand! Both sides can make 4 hearts"
Sadly, the book and its sequels are long out of print, and only one, truly awful, ebook edition of one of the lesser books has been done. But to give you a flavour for how beloved these books are for those lucky enough to have a copy, the going price on Amazon for a used paperback is >$100 USD.
