I thought that you were obtaining an RMA? It is the weekend now but you
should have an answer soon, when did Ectaco receive the request for the
RMA?

It is obvious from your posting that you shouldn't have purchased this
ereader with the new Triton display which has a darker background,
according to most accounts.

You posted that you were familiar with some of the Ectaco products, it's too
bad that that didn't include any of the previous jetBooks with their reflective
TFT LCD displays. It is generally accepted that that display is darker as
well. Most of us users would also say that the blacks are darker so that
the contrast and readability is about the same.
