Sugarsync on rooted T1

Hi, new owner of a T1 here! Just installed the minimal root package. Nice! Still learning my way around. Sideloaded a sugarsync apk file via dropbox and installed it, and figured how to get it on the desk top. But every time I start it, I go to my sugarsync page but then a popup appears saying upgrade now OK. No way to get rid of it. Press ok, and sugarsync goes into Force Close.

Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Thanks!
