I solved an issue with the Acer Lumiread where removing the "body { background-color: #800000; }" stops the reader crashing ! on opening the epub. I'm shure that in this example some worse circumstances come together, but it shows, that readers not always do, what they should do ...

By now i'm working on an issue where several css-styles are ignored and i suspect , that a "{ display: list-style }", which calibre inserts, is maybe the reason for the failure on a "Prestigio" device (but only here, nowhere else....). We are going to test this.
what does it do when you use the (valid) color name: maroon instead of the color number?
