There are also people who like or even love the Kobo. So who is right and who is wrong?
No one (or everyone) is.
As you've said, it is very much a personal choice.
You may detest the Kobo, of course. Though I think that detest is such a strong word and feeling... IMHO wasted on such a rather trivial matter like e-reader preferences.
Of course it's okay to dislike something. There are a lot of things I don't like. I'm just trying not to make other people feel bad about their choices and preferences. Which does not mean that I don't tell people why I dislike something.
