Sounds like that's a missing feature, not a bug - much like the missing ePub support of the Kindle is not a bug, but simple a feature that is not there.
Maybe they'll add embedded fonts support in the future. (Though I don't really care, I must admit.)
But hopefully I will be able to override pre-selected fonts since that's one thing I enjoy about ebooks - I can select a font I like.
