I stop my cable/internet every year as I go out of town to work.
I am immediately inundated with calls and letters from the ISP offering me discounts, asking me why etc..
If enough people switch providers on receipt of a letter, guilty or not, poilicies should change, especially if they tell the ISP they are afraid that someone may be abusing their service and don't want to take a chance.
