The cheapest and maybe most satisfying option actually involves a little work, an offcut of leatherette (known as naugahyde in the States I think) from a vehicle or furniture upholsterer, and a tube of glue. I made a sleeve in less than an hour, in the shape of an envelope with an open top, and it cost virtually nothing. Unique too!!
