A multi-part question for the oenophiles. There are various lists of the cépages nobles, or "noble grapes" of French wine-making. There's something of a consensus on seven of them: four red, three white. I've a list in front of me from a reference book that lists eight red and six white varieties (including those seven), and I'll use this list to declare whoever supplies the most names the Winner and Master Oenophile.

Hmmm...never heard the term 'noble grape' before, so I'll guess that it'll be the most famous grape varieties. Not sure I can name eight red and six white, but here goes;
White
Chardonnay
Riesling
Gewurtztraminer
Semillon
Sauvignon Blanc
Chenin Blanc
Pinot Blanc
Red
Cabernet Sauvignon
Pinot Noir
Merlot
Syrah
I think that's about all that comes to mind so far.
