I have several sets of "collectible" plates and only one set came with plate stands. My husband found these online -- I don't know what site he used -- and ordered me a couple dozen. However, my cabinet does not hold them all, so I have a stash of these in a drawer.

I've never propped an ebook on one, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. (I have propped up my iPad in its zippered case and I have a few scattered around the house so that I can listen to audiobooks on my cell phone while I'm fixing my hair, scrapbooking, or washing dishes.) I prefer to prop my ebook reader on a folded up kitchen towel -- or something similarly low -- rather than so far upright.
