Question Calibre settings on two PCs

I just installed Calibre on a second computer, and happily and easily linked to my Dropbox-based library. From what I can tell, many of the settings - for example, the columns, coloring, etc. - seem to be showing up on the second PC, so I'm guessing that these are derived from the metadata file. Since I'm only marginally literate in how databases work, I'm making a guess that things like plug-ins are not tied to the database and are dependent on the installation. Does that mean that, if I want Calibre to look and behave exactly the same way on both computers, I will have to install all of the plug-ins on the second machine? Thanks for any insight...
