Originally I didn't like it but now I'm used to it as it is sorted the same way as my kindle.

There is a Tick box on Preferences: Output options: Mobi Output
to use Author Sort (No, I don't know what was default
). If you have previously converted books, those will use the setting that was in place THEN unless you 1)make the change on the conversion screen. 2) Use the Restore button at the bottom, which will then use the current preferences.
