Sometimes it is necessary to cripple a tablet to make a distraction free ereader. My eInk reader is great for novels, but it sucks for certain types of non-fiction books. Non-eInk readers tend to be slightly on the feature rich side. So I took an Android tablet (which the vendor calls an ereader

) and gutted it. It is now as functional as a typical eInk reader, except that it has fantastic PDF support.
