The DX has version 2 firmware on it, which is now a couple of years old. It's also more sluggish than the newer models. The UI is roughly the same as the Kindle 3, with slower response times and an older web browser.
It's great for reading, but a less than great choice for anything else, including PDFs, IMO. Especially for the $379 price.

A larger Touch would be fantastic. We can hope.
