crescere, I think there is definitely something odd about the files you are putting on the Kindle via USB....
Assuming that you have at least some books that are purchased directly from Amazon, I wonder if you might try a test:
Delete a number of Amazon books from the Kindle.
Rather than transferring the books via USB, download them from Amazon via wireless.
Then see if you continue to see the same incorrect results with books transferred wirelessly vs. USB.
