like i said, they're not terrible. just don't expect a lot of forward progression. and take a break between the books lol.

i made the mistake of reading GRRM's Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings back to back and by the end i was begging for ACoK to be finished already. good books but again, forward progression is minimal. my tolerance for filler isn't as high as it used to be
