Not sure how you're any less a "slave" to any other OS. The latest CM builds are super-stable and, in lots of ways, better than the stock B&N!

To each is own, I guess. I'd much rather spend $100 or so on a NC and have 90% of the functionality with an extra couple hundred bucks in my pocket.
