That is the tricky part, isn't it? People have very little patience for complaining on the web. Perhaps good author "brooding" should follow the rules of "show/don't tell" i.e. a profile pic that really shows what a "deep" thinker one is, expose his/her wartorn soul, etc. Like this guy ->
