Cannot Elimiate Cover Image Border

Hi, I have a small issue. I created a 3D cover image using myEcoverMaker, and saved the rendered file in 600x800 pixel format (required by Amazon). It is not a transparent image (.png), but rather, a non-transparent .jpg. I have the option to provide a different color background through this image tool (which will mask a Calibre-generated border around the perimeter of the image), but I would like to leave it White, so that this non-fully filled image will kind of blend in with a surrounding (outside of the image) White background.

I then use Calibre's "Generate Cover" plug-in to load the .jpg image, and I designated the cover width image borders to be "0", which is the default. I have similarly loaded the image through the native Calibre cover image insertion, with the same results below.

Using Calibre, When I convert my source from ZIP --> Mobi, the resultant .mobi file has a thin black border around the perimeter of the cover image. The outer-most portion of the image around its perimeter is Color White; hence, the image border is very noticeable as a result.

Is there a way through Calibre (or other) to eliminate this border? If I look at the image through any graphical editor or via web, there is no pronounced border displaying. It's just when I create the .mobi through Calibre, that this thin border is generated around the cover image.

P.S. When I substituted a "transparent" .jpg image with the non-transparent .jpg image mentioned above, Calibre accepted this image, but I got the same results.

P.P.S. When I convert from ZIP -> ePub, the problem does not to appear occur, based on the Calibre e-reader that I am using for testing.
