Is your name Jane, as in 'Calamity Jane' ?

Reading as many books as you do and living on a narrow boat the Kobo Touch is an ideal accessory as space on a narrow boat will always be limited

This is how I load eBooks onto my Kobo Touch eReader

I connect my Kobo Touch to the computer then open Calibre, after a minute two new icons pop up on the Calibre toolbar

One icon (Device) shows me which books I have in the eReader and I can delete books I've read, the other icon (Send to device) loads books I select onto the eReader

If the format is not suitable Calibre asks 'Auto convert the following books before uploading to the device ?' then does it all for you in one step !

I have a couple of thousand eBooks in a file on my computer and 'Add Books' to Calibre when I want to put one or two onto the Kobo

Hope this is of some help and encouragement

There is a learning curve with eReaders as with anything else new, you'll get the hang of it

Don't give up, we'd all be disappointed

Lots of help here
