US Department of Justice vs five largest book publishers

This morning's issue (March 9, 2012) the Wall Street Journal has published an article stating that it will sue the five biggest book publishers and apple corp for colluding to raise electronic book prices. The defendents will be CBS (Simon and Schuster), Lagardere (Hattchet Book Group), Pearson (Penguin) and News Corp (Harper-Collins). Publishers disliked the older model of dicsounting electronic books becuase they feared that it would limit their ability to sell the higher cost books. The Justice department is suing over the recent agency model.
