I have to go with the idea it is the individual's responsibly if they are distracted [will exempt those with ADD having just spent 22 years with someone with ADD]

My computers/tablets/you name its are NOT allowed in any way to be intrusive. I will get to what I get to when I get to it. The only pop ups I allow are the ones I set for a specific task that I want to be notified about. Then they are removed as soon as the task is done. Nothing is allowed to run but the tasks I am running. I believe in speed not in bells and whistles.

My sister on the other hand complains she can't get anything done and her computers/tablets/you name it are so slow. I went in to fix the computer the other day "Sis? Why do you have 4 music programs running?"
They are?"
"I'll remove them from running on start up"
"OH don't do that. I just want them to start when I click on a file and I want to be able to download things without a problem. Hey why are all my files corrupted when I download them?"

Maybe because she had 32 programs running when they didn't need to be all seeking internet use? And pop ups.. Lord have mercy. Pop ups. I barely got the thing done I went in to do. Everything and its brother was popping up and telling me things she didn't even need to know.

If you ask for distractions [allow the programs to run all the time] don't complain you can't get anything done or are distracted. It's your own fault.

And she would only let me kill the stupid music programs. She didn't even know she had sharing programs running. On dial up no less.
