I think there is a certain possibility this will not be vaporware. I remember seeing something similar when I was in Japan a few months ago, if memory serves it was called Galapagos, a huge screen but very very proprietary, the core reason for its lack og success. It was fantastic for reading Manga and that is why I believe some of the Japanese makers, be it Sony, Toshiba, Matsushita (National&Panasonic) or Sharp (Galapagos maker), will launch a large screen tablet. However, don't expect it to be e-Ink unless it comes with saturated color screen and fast refresh rates. The Japanese makers sees it primarily as a device for reading Manga and if a maker can close a deal with Shogakukan or similar large scale Manga publishing house there will be a device available.
