I've deleted all the free books from my desktop, and then reloaded.

I haven't synched my reader with desktop for weeks. But now that I had to delete all the freebies from Desktop, I'm thinking that the books will then be deleted from my reader(s). Yes, two; don't judge me. :P

So - the "uncorrupted" free ebooks still reside on my reader(s), since I haven't synched to Desktop since this freebie debacle

The ones on my readers still have annotations. If I were to (egad, this will be time-consuming) go to the desktop and re-annotate the new desktop copies to match what I have on my readers, I'm thinking that logically it should follow that I could then delete the free books from my reader, and then re-synch so that the annotations will stay on the ereader.

But if I were to synch now, I'm thinking my annotations would not synch to the new "freebie" books, because they are, in essence, now "new" freebie books.

Does any of what I'm saying make sense?
