The disk icon pops up only if the stylus is away from the screen for 4 sec. If you are drawing a continuous line, the disk icon cannot pop up. Simply start drawing a continuous line (a zig-zagging line would make it more obvious) without lifting the stylus from the screen and in about 8-10 sec there is a short freeze and the two points are being connected by a straight line (during the freeze you still don't lift the stylus from the screen but continue zig-zagging). For the test i generated some blank PDF pages.
I don't know where the bottlenecks of the hardware are, so i don't know if this could be fixed. But if continuous scribbling is possible on the EEE Note (624MHz Marvell ARM11 CPU), maybe it could also be implemented on the jetbook too.
