I tried what the guy in the store suggested today.. open up the kobo desktop and wait a few minutes before connecting my kobo. But the kobo desktop eject still failed as usual.

I turned off the firewall and the anti-virus and tried again,... nope.

I give up. The kobo is buggy but it does work. If it gets worse I will return it.

The computer I use mainly, had vista, but I tried it on our other computer and it runs windows 7. Same results.

Hmm.. It is possible that Your Kobo is not at fault.. Have you tried plugging your KT into another computer and ejecting? It could be something on your computer (background app, foreground app, Windows Explorer, Media programs, OS itself on your particular hardware configuration) that is causing the error to occur.
