This was the reason used to ban tags for those who were using them (and I am one of them - people do buy other things, although not so much from this board). It does make it easier to post the links (both for those who make a bit of income this way and those who find them elsewhere), but the moderators have banned it, other than in the designated thread/month for those who want to maintain one.
For most other stores, the aff tags are of less use, as the designated time is often measured in minutes or a few hours and there isn't as much there to impulse shop from.
