Yup, an excellent book, and there are many more in the series. There were a couple of so-so books in the middle, but they are back to being excellent.
Also, when you finish
The Beekeeper's Apprentice, you might want to read
Beekeeping for Beginners. A short story in thesame timeframe and characters, but a shift in viewpoint.
