We actually do have iPad 2's (and will be selling one and replacing it with an iPad 3 if it has retina display). As I've had the iPad fall on my nose a couple of times while reading comics/manga (ouch!), I think I'll stick to a much smaller and
lighter device for bedtime reading, thank you very much.
I actually still have an original iPhone 16GB. Back when I still had the 3GS, I used the iPhone 16GB as my backup reader. After I upgraded to an iPhone 4 (with retina display), I just couldn't go back to my older iPhone's pixelated display, hence, the iPod Touch purchase. And yes, even the 8GB model is plenty if you only want it for ebooks. I barely use 1GB on mine.
