Regarding the social networking features, they kind of creep me out "in real life", too, but you know there is a demographic that would love it. So it would fill the bookstore with teenagers. Well, so what? Manga sells would go through the roof.

oh good, i'm glad you are at least lobbying in existing stores. you let me know how it goes. and don't dismiss manga lovers ; those people spend FORTUNES on books (i know a few).

i seem to remember that you had your own rather brilliant idea for a new style of bookstores, which would integrate a lot of community features. i don't remember which thread it was in (and i am too lazy to search for it right now) but perhaps you and taylor should get together, make a few powerpoints, and go meet up with the owners of border and whatever other bookstore chains you want.
try to do this soon, because i would like it if you could then rapidly export the model to Paris, so i can enjoy it as well.
